'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' - Number One!

'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' - Number One!

After a tense and quite surreal week here at Phoenix, PJ and Duncan are officially the UK’s number 1 with ‘Lets Get Ready To Rhumble’!
Following their performance of the song on ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ last weekend, the 1994 top ten hit climbed and stayed at the the of the iTunes chart throughout the week keeping the likes of Pink and the Saturdays at bay and going onto sell 84,000 copies – 64% of its previous total!
The support of the song has been phenomenal and it’s certainly been a week to remember. The only question now is, can they make it a second week? After last week’s events it’s fair to say – anything could happen. #letsgetreadytorhumbleagain
‘Let's Get Ready To Rhumble’ is taken from the album ’The Essential Collection' and are both available to download from iTunes now.

Phoenix 'Rumbling' to Number One...

Phoenix 'Rumbling' to Number One...

We are very excited to announce that we are currently number one on iTunes!

After a victorious comeback performance on their hugely popular show ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’, Ant and Dec have soared to the top of the iTunes charts with their 1994 track ‘Let’s Get Ready To Rumble’ and are well on course to take the top spot this Sunday on the Official Charts countdown.
What can potentially be labelled now as a ‘90’s classic’ is taken from their 1994 LP ‘Psyche – The Album’ under their super stylish alter ego’s PJ and Duncan. Upon its original release it reached number nine in the charts and became one of their biggest hits. A mere nineteen years later its riding high again and we are proud to be part of it.

Welcome, William Adamson

11 March 2013

Welcome, William Adamson

We’ve been busy on the publishing side of Phoenix recently. Some exciting signings are happening, will happen and have happened. So, we are proud and excited to present William Adamson, who’s amazing album Under An East Coast Moon will be released by Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings on Monday March 18th.
Formerly known as 2 Banks Of 4, Demus and Rob Gallagher have shaken free from the shackles of jazz purism and have created a hybrid of swampfunk blues and rock, something that sounds as though it was made yesterday, and made 50 years ago at the same time, and is as at home in the hollows of England as the hills of Alabama, if that makes any sense. Have a listen and all will be clear, sometimes words just aren’t enough..
Under An East Coast Moon will be available on heavyweight vinyl, CD and digital. Find out more about the band here and pre-order the album. For the live experience the album launch is also on Monday 18th at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington.
