At Phoenix Music International, we’re excited to announce the addition of Drop Music to our ever-growing family of labels. A pivotal name in UK house, Drop Music was founded in the late 1990s by Andy Riley and Laurence Ritchie - better known as Inland Knights.

Born out of the UK’s free party scene, Drop Music has always embodied the true spirit of underground culture. In its early days, the Inland Knights were lugging sound systems into fields and clubs, investing every spare penny into vinyl, and living on little more than beans on toast - all for the love of music. That passion led to the creation of a label dedicated to spreading quality deep house around the world.
Drop Music quickly became a home not only for Inland Knights’ own output (and their many aliases, including Toka Project, Larry Fives, Party Criminals, In House Alterations, and Big Audio Spidermite) but also a platform for fresh talent. Over the years, the label helped introduce artists such as The Littlemen, James Curd, and Jay West to the global scene.
Today, Drop Music remains a cornerstone of deep house, respected for its timeless grooves, underground credibility, and commitment to pushing forward-thinking electronic music. We’re proud to represent this iconic imprint and bring its catalogue to new generations of listeners worldwide.
