Max Bloom

International A & R

Max brings vast experience to PMI’s licensing division having seen the industry from numerous perspectives – DJ, studio engineer, remixer, A&R and label boss. He started as a DJ in 1986 playing Ministry Of Sound, Club UK and had a residency at Stringfellows. He then became a recording engineer for The KLF, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Billy Ocean and Lighthouse Family among others. In 1995 he moved into A&R, with stints for Jive Records and Warner Bros, before setting up Concept Music in 2000 whose first release was the worldwide hit Nu Generation's 'Rescue Me'. In 2002 he added underground imprint suSU to the Concept stable. Max is also an active industry figure – an AIM board member, he has Chaired the AIM Marketing Committee for the last 4 years as well as being on the BPI Indie committee.
